I had the pleasure of trying both the Cucina Antica Tomato Basil and their Marinara Sauce. My family and I opted to make our own homemade pizza with the marinara and it was absolutely delicious! Making the pizza is easy - simply get your own pre-made dough (or do a quick internet search to learn how to make the dough from scratch), add the marinara sauce to your liking, then add toppings. Once you have everything together, stick it in the oven and enjoy! You can make a simple cheese and/or pepperoni pizza or use random toppings (such as other meats, cheese, veggies) to make your own unique pizza!
Then, we used the tomato basil as a nice spaghetti sauce! We like to mix ground meat and jalapenos with our sauce to make a yummy flavor with a kick! So, again, no special cooking skills needed, just a bit of stirring and you're good to go!
The sauce itself was absolutely delicious! It had a fresh taste with a good flavor to it. What I like about this brand is the fact that they use no artificial flavors, no added sugar, no added water, and no tomato paste. The sauces both seemed to do well with our recipes and seemed to really enhance the flavor compared to other brands we have tried. Plus, the jars are glass so you can re-use them for craft projects or storage containers! That's a whole other post in itself though. All in all, it was an excellent experience - and quite a tasty one at that!
