When you’re at the beach, it is easy to fall into the junk food snacks trap. After all, a few steps (or hops depending on the heat of the sand) lands you in the golden spotlight of the concession stand. Chockful of candy bars, waffle fries, nachos with that dip, and burgers…It’s the holy land for people who are starving and stranded in sunnyville for the next few hours of their lives.

Though it’s tempting, don’t fall victim to the trap and forget those #beachbodgoals you worked so tirelessly for. The solution? Pack your own snacks and keep hydrated. This way you’ll save a few bucks and not go into calorie overload.

Let’s talk what to pack:

Salt Life Trail Mix

This trail mix is the right parts sweet and salty to deliver you a nutritious snack while you’re sun tanning or surfing. The addition of nuts provides you with a bit of protein and the fruit is a great way to get some fiber.

What You’ll Need

Deluxe Mixed Nuts Raw

Dried Cranberries

Dried Tart Cherries


In a small bowl mix together the above. To avoid a sticky situation, store in a Tupperware container or put in your cooler (Zipblock bags can get melty, not awesome).

Sunny Sesame Sticks Mix

Hit the beach with this yummy sesame mix snack! In case you get to craving potato chips or fries, these semi-salty and filling sticks will provide a healthier alternative for you.

Cheddar Sesame Sticks

Mix together and pack into a container – enjoy!

Banana Sandwich Bites

If you’re looking for a take on a classic sandwich, then these banana bites will surely do. Bananas are great for potassium and provide a nice dose of fiber to your body.

What You’ll Need

+ Seed-based bread (Try Eureka Seeds The Day from Target)

+ Bananas (Cut up)

+ Peanut Butter

How To Make

All you need to do is layer on the peanut butter, and bananas. Then, cut into small slices (aim for 4).

Pack in aluminum foil and place in your cooler to avoid a melt-tastrophy.

There you have it! Three super simple and delicious snacks that you can throw in your cooler and grab when hunger strikes. No more longingly looking at the concession stand for food, and feeling guilty when you indulge.
