I am by no means a chef and I'll admit I'm horrible at knowing when meats are done cooking. Since most foods you can just taste to tell, I prefer not to do that and risk it being under cooked and getting sick so I figured the Digital Cooking Thermometer would be a big help with that and I was right! I love that this brand of thermometer is so compact because it's easy to store. The pointed part folds up when not in use so it takes up less space and you don’t have to worry about accidentally stabbing yourself. I keep mine in the jar of most used utensils by my stove, but it also fits great inside the drawer too. Also, because it's digital it's so much easier to read. Not to mention the LCD screen helps with that as well.
