I love watermelon, but slicing is generally a pain to do. At least, it used to be. With this kit, it makes slicing watermelon a whole lot easier and certainly a whole lot safer compared to using the big obnoxious knife I would always use. in this kit, you get a watermelon slicer, watermelon knife, and an avocado slicer. You also get the little pick forks so you can eat your watermelon without having to get your hands all over it.
I was impressed with the nice overall quality of this kit. It has a nice durable feel and a simple and attractive design. It is also comfortable to grip and hold for use as well. It is also easy to wash and clean between uses. I usually rinse mine off and toss it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. I have had no issues with this method. While the slicer is sharp enough to slice the watermelon with no issues, it's not sharp in the sense of a knife where you have to worry about losing a finger if it slips. Can you cut yourself? Of course you can. However, it's not nearly as dangerous as a knife making it a safer tool to use when slicing your watermelon.
Overall, I think this is a great set. My only complaint is that there was no instructions included with it. For someone who has never used a set like this before instructions would make a huge difference. Otherwise, I have no complaints and am quite impressed with it.
