Need some help decorating for Christmas this year? Try these quick and easy ideas to make your home sparkle for the holiday season.  

 

Have you considered worn skates? Give them a new purpose as a Christmas decoration. Knot the laces of the pair together and fill the skates with miniature wrapped presents. Embellish with an ornament or two and hang from a hook. Make sure the skate blades are dull to prevent damage to woodwork or scraped fingers.

For my own personal decorating I found a few items that I wanted to share that I absolutely love in my house from Haute Decor:   

 

These lovely stocking holders are 11" tall and hold up to 10 pounds! Yet, they are lightweight. They are not flimsy or cheaply made either. They`re well made. We our a family of 4 but we have quite a few pets and of course they each have a stocking. Because of the design of these, we can now hang ALL the stockings on the mantle rather than tacking them up to the wall this year. Don`t get me wrong, the wall is nice, but once filled they had to come down, and well who wants to put holes throughout their walls?! Also, they seem to stay in place! The bulky stocking holders are nice, but I noticed they would always fall over - even with empty stockings. With these, they stayed in place when weight was added to them. I can`t wait to get all set up for Christmas this year!   

 

These stockings are okay. They`re not real high quality, but they`re not dollar store quality either. They look nice and feel durable. The loop for the stocking is small, but I noticed it doesn`t twist and turn like other stockings do. I find this one has its plus and minuses about it. Overall I found these would be used as our pets stockings rather than for the family stockings. If you want a simple look, nothing fancy - these are good for that. If you`re looking for high quality and fancy then you may want to continue on with your search. My 3/5 star rating is based off the price for what you get.   

 

Now, these are the perfect solution for getting all hung stockings to face the same direction. I love that they`re shaped like bells, but without the jingle noise. Best of all they do help with the stockings as well. They`re easy to use and even come with instructions. Simply slip onto the stocking loop and twist. That`s it. They go on and come off easily and don`t "harm" the stocking in any way.  

 

If you want to add in some education during the holidays then this is a great way to learn about Christmas in 23 countries and 1 fact about Christmas in outer space. The facts are located on a map of the world so children can learn geography as well as fun facts about Christmas. The colors are nice and the facts are fun to learn, but I will admit, I think the price should be a bit lower since it is still a thin cardboard product. It looks nice, but it can easily rip.  

 

Overall Haute Decor has some nice items, but I think they should evaluate their pricing or join in with the Amazon program and offer Free shipping with Prime. Overall they have decent products, some really nice ones. They ship quickly and are a great company as far as working with. All of the items I featured would be great for the holidays depending on your style, but as I said, the price of the item plus the shipping makes it a bit overpriced in my opinion.
