As you all know I`m going to be 8 months pregnant on Friday (yay!) with our second child, Jace. Boy has this pregnancy been a ride and a bit different experience than with Sophia. I knew we were having a boy from the beginning with how much trouble he`s been giving me with acid reflux, back pains, etc - Sophia was kind and let me go just about to the end before giving me any problems. Of course I can forgive her for that because by that point she was all squished up and she let me have an overall pleasant pregnancy. Jace? Starting around 7 weeks I`ve been having BAD acid reflux ever since, I`m having almost constant lower back pain, Sneezing non-stop where it itches my throat every time, Hardly able to walk at times, Always feeling squished and claustrophobic - you name it. Thankfully neither gave me morning sickness though, but regardless they have both been different experiences. Sophia I planned on breastfeeding but it didn`t work out so I used a breast pump for a good bit while I could. With Jace I plan on the same thing, hopefully he`ll at least be a bit more cooperative with that than he`s been with the pregnancy. Of course if he`s not Tommee Tippee has me covered because they sent me one of their Single Electric Breast Pumps to check out!
About Tommee Tippee
Tommee tippee®, as part of the Mayborn Group Limited, is the number-one brand of infant and toddler products in Great Britain and one of the fastest growing baby essentials brands in the global market, loved by babies and recommended by generations of parents.
The breast pump I had with Sophia was actually a rental that my mom was kind enough do for me. I felt silly using it (don`t ask me why) but I fell in love because I was able to give my daughter my own milk rather than formula for a good while - until her demand became more than my supply. So this is my first breast pump that I am owning myself and I must say I`m pretty excited. Am I excited about using it? Eh, not really ONLY because I remember with Sophia the discomfort that comes with the need to pump. Any ladies who have had babies can relate I`m sure - when it`s time to release the milk your breast will feel sore! So nothing against the pumps themselves since they help relieve that, but that can be an uncomfortable time! Moving on... The unique silicone cup makes the Tommee Tippee Single Electric Breast Pump super-comfortable to use. There are 4 settings to choose from: light, low, medium and high. It`s recommend that you startwith the light mode to encourage milk let down, and then moving onto the setting that feels right for you. One thing I particularly love about this pump is that once you pump, you can easily add the nipple to the bottle and feed directly to your baby; a great feature for moms who may not be able to directly breastfeed. The bottle is small, easy to clean, and easy to hold on to. Another feature that sticks out about this pump that I like is how it`s light weight and portable so moms can pump on the go if need be. Who wants to lug around a huge bag of heavy equipment to feed their baby right? When all is said and done this set also comes with a sterilizer box for easy storage for the smaller pump parts/accessories as well. No trying to stuff them in your kitchen drawer - keep them all together! By the way, if your power goes out, you can still use your pump! How? Simple. It`s battery operated! Overall I am quite impressed with the Tommee Tippee Single Electric Breast Pump. These are priced lower than many other electric pumps I`ve seen and functions well. I love the portability and all the accessories it comes with for the price you pay. I definitely think they really looked out for moms best interest with this product and weren`t just looking for the money. It`s a quality product and I`m definitely a new proud supporter! If you`re a new mom or soon to be mom, add this breast pump to your must have list. It`ll make your life quite a bit easier, trust me!
