I`m sure you`ve seen the ad come across your facebook or even maybe received an email, but I my friends was able to get my hands on a Likebook for review! Yup, I sure did! Wait, huh? A Likebook? What`s that? Basically if you have a facebook page and you like to keep memories of events in your life that you kept up with on facebook, a Likebook would definitely be something you would be interested in.
Likebook ... The "Like" that changes everything!
In June 2009, in France, Nicolas Cazagou, the future founder of Likebook, "Liked" comments of the woman who would become his wife, on the Facebook page of a mutual friend. Over the following months, the social network saw the birth of their history in the form of comments, photos, and discussion. A year later he wanted to give her a book retracing their encounter on Facebook and realized that no website offered such a service. He will then invent the concept of the Likebook, a Book that would tell our story, the one we write every day without knowing it, on our Facebook accounts. In 2010 he created EgoBook, which became Likebook in 2011. The same year, Patrick Osinski, a specialist in new technologies, joined Likebook. Today Likebook has 6 employees, 3 printing centers (U.S. and Europe), thousands of books sent anywhere in the world, and we are still the only service to offer complete archiving of your Facebook data... And you know what? WE LIKE THAT!!! A Likebook is quite simply a hard copy book of the Facebook contents of a person, a group or a fan page. Status, pictures, links, comments, likes.. All the content that is posted on a Facebook account`s wall, we print them in a superb book It is a simple way of archiving your social life and to reclaim your virtual data in the real life. It is also the guarantee of a unique, personalized and unforgettable present. We are all the actors of our social life, and Likebook allows you to become the author
I`ll be honest, when I signed up for the Likebook I was expecting an over priced cheaply made book. I was given a $50 credit to use and was even more disappointed when I found out I was $5 short to get the hard cover book so I had to get the soft cover. I just figured it would be a junk book so to speak. I was definitely proven wrong! The book I received is VERY high quality. The pages are thick, the soft cover isn`t a paperback cover, but like a softcover you would find on a school book. In fact, the quality of the book immediately reminded me of some of my college books with soft covers. So I got a 138 page soft cover likebook for $50, which includes the shipping as well. It sounds like a lot, but I chose to the book that combined both my husband and I facebook information starting from August 25th 2012, the day we got married, to the current date I made the book which was April 23rd 2013. My book features our status updates made during that time period, photos we shared, photos that were uploaded, the comments made by others on our content, etc. Basically it`s just a big memory book from facebook broken down into a book. I love the layout because it sort of reminds me of how I would make a scrapbook if I could with the facebook information. Luckily Likebook put it all together for me. Don`t like that layout? You have a couple other options to choose from. You can also change the color of your book cover, your image you use on your book cover as well as the header image. The worst part of the process is waiting for your facebook content to load. I have TONS of info on my page so it took about 20 minutes if I had to guess for my stuff to load. If you don`t have too much then it will take less time. I use browser tabs so I was able to keep busy in between waiting for my content to load so it wasn`t a big deal to me. I fell in love with my book the moment I got it - this morning and was too eager to hold off on writing the review. The book is fantastic! It is great quality and ships out quickly and well packaged. My only problem is the the UPS guy who just left the package laying flat on the ground by my front porch when it was storming! Luckily it wasn`t damaged or touched, thank goodness. I love the quality of the content on the pages and overall look and feel of the book. I`m so glad I received one because I probably wouldn`t have looked at it twice before now, but since seeing it in person I can honestly say I recommend them. You can make a book for as little as $12, it all depends on if you want a hard cover or soft cover and how many pages. The more pages you have the higher the cost so keep this in mind. Thanks Likebook for a wonderful experience with your products and your company! [gallery ids="35711,35712,35713,35714,35715,35716,35717"]
