I`m not a big makeup wearing person. I say that a lot and it`s true. When I do choose to wear any make up it`s generally natural colors and simple such as for my lips and eyes. I`m not into a lot of heavy makeup. Well with this cold weather, or in the case here in Louisiana - when we do have cold weather, my lips tend to get a bit more dry than usual. My Thoughts
The Chardonnay Lip Shimmer is a soothing a creamy untinted balm with a light shimmer and a hint of vanilla. A lip shimmer is a lip balm with a tint and shimmer - it is not a lipstick, although it can be worn as one. It is made to moisten and refresh your lips, and add a bit of color. I love how thin the lip shimmer is so it can easily fit in a pair of tight jeans pocket or easily be put away into a purse. Also, I love the smooth texture of the lip shimmer and how smooth it felt upon application. There`s no scent coming through, there`s no flavor, just pure smoothness. I`ve used lipsticks/chapsticks that would come off as soon as you lick your lips. With the deVine lip shimmer I can drink my drinks normally (without a straw) and lick my lips in a normal everyday fashion and it would still be on my lips without coming off instantly. Of course, if you`re constantly licking your lips you`ll need to apply it more, but just general every day body functions and such I find the shimmer stays on.
Overall I really enjoy the lip shimmer. I honestly can`t get over the smooth texture that it leaves on your lips while you`re wearing it and how long it lasts throughout the day. My lips feel soft and refreshed every time I use this product. I definitely recommend it and they have other shades to choose from as well. Talk about an excellent stocking stuffer idea!
