Granted, one can live without a garlic press, but why would you? Pressing garlic yields the strongest garlic flavor possible because the press so thoroughly crushes the bulb that it breaks down the herb's structure, thereby releasing the sulfur compounds all at once. One of my favorite kitchen tools is my Garlic Press. Maybe it's because it's easy to clean because I can just toss it into the dishwasher when I'm done, but I like this tool. Easy to clean is always a must have as a busy mom, but it has to be functional too, obviously. This is made of nice quality and durable materials and has a comfortable to grip and hold handle. While this is a garlic press, you can also use it for other items such as ginger or anything you want crushed up honestly. Using it is easy. Put you garlic glove (or whatever you want to press) in the little space and squeeze the handles together and that's it! It does take some effort to squeeze, unfortunately, but it does what it's supposed to. All in all this is a simple, easy to use product that's easy to clean and gets the job done. I`m rather impressed and can honestly say this is one of the better garlic press products I have used. I would definitely recommend it!
