Are you looking for ways to stretch your dollar? 
Y'all know I have a zoo (11 cats, a dog, and a turtle). I spoil my animals, probably more than my own kids. So when I found out that Muttropolis had asked about being in my 2020 holiday gift guide, I thought it would be pretty cool. What I didn't expect was to discover items my animals would absolutely love. Which is why I'm doing this review separately (and I'm not even telling them!).
Looking at their site I saw they had some cool stuff, however, it seemed quite overpriced to me. I'm sure others can relate. So I picked about $50.00 worth of items to try out not expecting much. However, I was very pleasantly surprised.
My order arrived in two packages - I'm assuming based on what was available to ship at the time. It arrived nicely packaged with nothing broken or damaged.
Here is what I ordered with a break down of my experience with each:
Orijen USA Made Six Fish Freeze-Dried Dog Treats
Nutrient-rich and flavorful, these Orijen treats are made from 100% pure and fresh mackerel, herring, flounder, monkfish, redfish, and hake wild-caught in New England. My cats absolutely LOVED these! They have a crazy obsession with freeze-dried treats and these did NOT last at all in my house with 11 cats. So while the bag is small, these are highly rated. Not one cat got sick from eating it and not one cat refused to eat it. Do you know how rare that is with my lot?! Seriously, they never all just like the same thing when it comes to treats.
Smart N Tasty Dental Cat Treat
Your cat will fall in love with these treats that are sure to clean teeth and freshen breath! Made in the USA, these treats are grain, gluten, soy, and dairy-free and contain no artificial ingredients, colors, flavors, or preservatives. Helps reduce plaque and tartar build-up and are less than 2 calories per treat!
Now unlike the freeze-dried treats, NONE, not one, of my cats liked these. They all sniffed and turned their nose up to it. So I gave them to the outside neighborhood cats that I feed and they thoroughly enjoyed them. I guess my bunch are just too spoiled to enjoy these.
Individual Chicken Jerky 'Slim' Dog Treat
The Chicken Jerky 'Slim' Dog Treat is a thick chew with a hard, crunchy texture made from 98% fat-free, premium chicken breast inside an edible collagen casing, just like a sausage. The result is a medium chew treat for dogs of all sizes. Treats should be given one at a time, for supplemental feeding only.
I got a couple of these for the dog to try and she was definitely happy with them! She had no trouble eating them nor did she have an issue where she choked on them. She seemed to enjoy these and was able to chew on them a while before they were fully gone.
Meatball Mutt Munchers Dog Treats
Our locally-made Mutt Munchers got a facelift! These grain-free treats are made in San Diego, CA with garbanzo beans, coconut flour, buckwheat flour, and sweet potato, making them high in protein and a good source of dietary fiber. We use all-natural, human-grade ingredients.
This was another winner for Scooby! They're small-sized dog treats that actually smell pretty good. Scooby ran off with these each time and each time the treat was gone in a matter of seconds!
Toothbrush Shape Dental Chew Dog Treat
Each sold separately. This vegetable-based chew treat will freshen your dog`s breath while cleaning his teeth. Shaped like a toothbrush to reach those hard to clean areas in your dogs mouth. Toothbrush Shape Dental Dog Chews are vegetable-based, highly digestible, low fat, high in fiber, controls plaque, and contains no chemical additives. Made in Veendam, The Netherlands.
Scooby seemed to enjoy this as well. These are a hard texture, not soft, meant for the dog to be able to gnaw on. If your dog has teeth sensitivities, this would not be a good choice. However, for a chewer, this is a great selection. Scooby seemed to enjoy guarding it more than chewing on it, but to each their own I guess!
Individual French Macaron Cookie Catnip Toy

Okay, this was surprisingly a favorite of my cats. I could barely take it out to snap a photo before they were starting to steal them! Just see the video clip I posted below! Sylvester, my adult black male cat who is more into getting some good pets instead of playing with toys, was HOGGING these when I first took them out. I mean laying in a pile and would not let anyone take any! Just purring away and having a grand old time. I was not expecting that from these!! This was a trend for several of my cats as they each got a turn to try them out.
Catnip Unicorn Cat Toy

Like the macaron cookie catnip toy above, my cats went crazy over this one! It doesn't look like much, but it's lightweight and is, once again, a new favorite among the cats. Even now, I will randomly see one of the cats wandering around the house with it or simply laying on the bed with it purring and loving all over it. This simple, non-special, toy is clearly AMAZING to them! You'll see this one posted in the video below as well.
As you can see, Muttropolis has a nice selection of items. While they seem pricey, they are actually high end from what I discovered. Even more important than the high end, though, is that my fur babies REALLY enjoyed their new treats and toys. That's what is most important to me. Would I shop there again? Absolutely! Especially for the cat toys!
