Machu`s Blend tea for dogs is a once-a-day herbal tea comprised of Chamomile, Ginger Root, Fennel Seed, Skullcap and Calendula that not only promotes healthy skin and coat for your dog, but also lowers stress and aids digestion of dry dog food, easing the stomach and reducing gas. In addition, Machu`s Blend is great for the prevention of bloat and treating dogs that suffer from seizures as well as motion sickness caused by car rides. Use 1/2 teaspoon of Machu`s Blend for each cup of water. Steep for 1-2 minutes in just under boiling water, then allow the tea to completely cool or even add ice before serving. As with all pet supplements, rare allergies exist so it`s best to start with a small portion the first serving to make sure there are no negative reactions prior adding Machu`s Blend to your dog`s everyday routine.
I used my coffee/tea press to make this tea for our medium sized, mixed dog, Scooby. She`s the type who gets excited and will eat or drink anything generally - or at least take a taste. It took around 20 to 30 minutes total to make the tea. This includes adding it in, letting it steep and allowing it to cool for Scooby to try out. When the tea was ready it had a yellow color to it and because I used the French Press to make the tea I had no particles floating in it. I poured it into a separate dish from where she usually gets her water and showed it to her. She took a quick taste, but didn`t seem too interested in it. Maybe she was more excited and wanted to play at the time, but after a while she had hardly touched it - taking only a few additional tastes. Maybe she just prefers her water?
Anyhow, After a while longer I showed it to her again just to give her the `go ahead` that it was meant for her and she could have it. She then went ahead and started guzzling it down like a treat! Maybe it just needed to cool off more for her? Who knows, dogs are a bit odd at times. A tea I was originally afraid she wouldn`t like, it turned out she fell in love with! While it was hard for me to notice if it calmed her down a bit (since she`s on and off with being hyper and sleepy on a regular basis), I can tell you she enjoyed it and had no ill effects from drinking the tea. So far it seems like a great addition to her diet! I just wouldn`t give her too much at one time as to not want to risk an upset tummy.
