As you guys know by now, my house is a zoo. We have multiple cats, a dog, a rabbit and a turtle. So we`re full. It probably doesn`t help that I volunteer for a local animal rescue called Spaymart, an amazing place if you`re looking to adopt a kitten, adult or senior cat(s). Well, I`m sure you can image how awful the smell can get when it`s time to scoop the litter box. That`s why I was interested in the litter genie. This thing is pretty interesting. It`s similar to a diaper genie, but instead of diapers, you`re scooping the cat poop into it. While I do like the idea and think it`s made well, I`m not as thrilled with it as I thought I would be. Setting up is a bit confusing as someone that is not familiar with these sort of things. There are instructions, but they could have been explained a bit better. I eventually figured it out and think it`s handy, but one the included bags run out, I don`t plan on refilling. It`s just as convenient for us to use plastic bags (that we keep in stockpile) for scooping. Keep in mind, I generally fill a bag each time we scoop where as a since or maybe even 2-cat household would probably benefit more from this. So while this isn`t for me, I certainly think it could be a benefit to others with a small pet household.
