I keep hearing all this talk about the Keto diet and Ketones and such - but what is it?
The keto diet is an eating plan that consists of 80 percent fat and little to no carbohydrates. Staples of the keto diet are fish, meat, eggs, dairy, oils, and green vegetables. Pasta, rice and other grains, potatoes, and fruits are strictly prohibited. Keto works by changing the way the body turns food into energy. Typically, during digestion, we break down carbohydrates — like those found in the verboten foods above — into molecules of fructose, galactose, and glucose, the last of which serves as the body’s primary source of energy. When the body can’t draw it from carbohydrates — either because they’ve been cut out of the diet or because a person hasn’t eaten for a long time — it looks for other forms of energy. The keto diet deliberately places the body in a state of ketosis, where fat is released from cells and turned into ketones, the body’s plan B for energy production. I was given a bottle of KetoXS to try for myself. I should state that I am not personally on the keto diet or any other diet. However, I wanted to give these a try to see how they would work and help during my journey to lose a little weight and get back in shape. While I cannot tell you what my results will be (you'll need to stay tuned for that), I can tell you about my initial beginner experience with these pills.
Using KetoXS is super easy: just take the capsules as directed. According to their website, it is suggested that for maximum results, take two (2) to eight (8) capsules daily. KetoXS is most effective when taken in the morning before breakfast, before exercising, and/or after eating carbohydrates to send your body back into ketosis.
KetoXS can be taken with or without food.
For me, since I am just starting, I opted to start with just 2 capsules and I will work to gradually increase my dose to the 8 capsules depending on how my body handles it. I've had experiences in the past where I wanted to rush results and would take the max dosage only to discover they made me feel absolutely horrible rather than being beneficial. So based off my own personal experience, I would suggest starting with the minimum dose and increase as you go along as you feel comfortable based on your body's reaction. Obviously, if you don't feel anything bad you can increase the dose the next day. Just a suggestion, though.
The pills themselves are pretty standard. The powdered ingredients are encased in a clear capsule. The capsule is a pretty average size - not tiny, but not a huge pill. I was able to easily take the pills without any negative effects. As I said, I didn't do the max dose to start. So far, I haven't felt sick or anything of that nature that I have felt in the past with similar style pills. It's only been a couple days of using the pills so I haven't seen results yet, however, I do intend to use all 60 capsules and hopefully achieve some results. I'm also planning on adding in a few do-able dieting choices as well, nothing drastic, to see if I can help maximize my own results. So keep an eye out for an update in the future!
