I, like most of you, love food. My problem, though... I cannot cook to save my life! I mean, I try. A few times I succeed, but more often than not I am reminded that I do not belong in the kitchen. To be quite honest, it sucks! I mean I want to be able to good delicious, edible meals, but even following recipes it just doesn't seem like they work out for me. Basically, Freshly provides freshly cooked meals in the form of a TV dinner. The difference? These are freshly made and prepared for you. Then they are packaged and sent to you. Plus, they actually taste fresh - nothing at all like TV dinners - and I'm quite familiar with a variety of TV dinner brands!

I received 6 meals, of my choice, from Freshly:

• Holiday Turkey
• Chicken Caponata
• Grilled Flat Iron Steak

• Pecan Pork

Each meal was super easy to fix. I had to puncture some holes and then just tossed it in the microwave for 3 minutes and 15 seconds. Of course, each meal has the nutrition and directions for preparing on the back. The best part of everything was that I had a delicious meal that tasted home cooked without me having to make a mess in the kitchen attempting to cook! I honestly loved everything that I received. Normally there's one or two things (food wise) that I don't care for, but that was not the case here. I was particularly nervous about the Pecan Pork because I'm picky when it comes to pecans. There's some that just have a funky shelf, store bought, sort of taste to them. Well the Pecan Pork is literally covered with the pecans. Well, much to my surprise, it tasted AMAZING! The pecans actually tasted fresh and not like that store bought bag stuff! If I had to pick a favorite of the items I received, I honestly could not because I enjoyed each meal just that much! I never thought I would be able to say that about anything; particularly food and meals.

Signing up is easy. Just pick your plan and pick your meals then wait for them to be delivered! When you do sign up, you will notice in your account that, aside from the meals you selected for your first order, they also display three orders into the future for you, with pre-selected menus that basically duplicate your original order. The menu they select for each order is based on what you ordered in your first order and also based on any dietary preferences you communicated to them during the sign-up process. They add one meal to their menu on a weekly basis (sometimes two!) and they also sometimes remove meals from their menu, so the menu they pre-select for your upcoming orders will take into account any meals they will be premiering or removing in the near future. Of course, you are free to go in and update the meals for any weekly order to whatever you desire, provided you do so by the deadline we email to you every week, at which point you are charged for your order and your meals are programmed into our system. They do sometimes allow a little extra time to change meals aside from that, but just take notice of the deadline.

If you're out of town for a week or two, or simply don't want to receive Freshly meals for a period of time (lots of Thanksgiving leftovers?), you can easily skip a week of delivery or pause your subscription to stop being charged and stop receiving meals.
