I was invited by Fresh N Lean to try their new vegan cheese they just released and since I`m a cheese lover, I couldn`t say no! You may remember I previously reviewed Fresh N Lean delivery meals and this experience was just as pleasant as before, except I loved everything! I received the vegan cheese in both American and Cheddar flavors. What`s unique about these is that they are not dairy - they are Vegan friendly and are plant based cheese. The texture feels the same as `regular` cheese and the taste is VERY close to my regular cheese, but you can definitely taste the difference as well. This cheese is similar to the thicker sliced cheese and doesn`t fall apart when you pick it up.
There`s no weird texture to it either or any additional chewing - nothing weird, just a unique taste.
I am not a Vegan eater, but I am not the picky type either and typically love foods found at Wholefoods, although it`s rare I actually shop there. I figured this is important to know to give an idea on my flavor preferences. I was able to enjoy the cheese both plain out the package as well as on a sandwich. They even taste good when you combine the two flavors together! While it is a slightly new taste, with a totally new concept (well to me at least), I am in love! If you`re Vegan, trying to go Vegan, or simply enjoy trying new things - this one is worth it!
