So  let's re-cap for anyone who has not been following me and doesn't know. I have a "zoo" at my house which includes 11 cats, 1 dog, 1 rabbit, and 1 turtle. Like I said, it's a zoo, but they are all spoiled rotten and we want to ensure they get the best. That being said, we got the cats a something special to try this month - a new sort of cat treat and it is the Fancy Feast Purely Natural White Meat Chicken Filets Cat Food Topper. Until now, we had not heard of these or tried them so I was pretty excited to see how the cats would like it. Well, as soon as I even opened the package they were all over my trying to get to it. I'm going to say it was definitely a hit!

This is only a guess because I did not, I repeat, I did not try these. However, most of my cats did and they enjoy it! Since I have 11 cats, I opened only one filet to start and broke it off into pieces. It's a little messy because of the juice it is in, but it's not a lot and doesn't squirt out on you when you open the package (most of the time). So you've been warned. Well, the cats went absolutely NUTS over these. I had meows in my ears and the constant looking for more. I'm going to just guess that means they really enjoyed it!

One thing I enjoyed was the convenience of these. The filets come individually wrapped to keep them fresh. While the filets are a good size, they are still small enough to make storing them convenient between feedings. Plus, they can easily squeeze into the limited space in my cats "wet treat snack" drawer. So, convenient.

 

So since it's a treat, I don't expect it to be 100% healthy. To me, the wet food and food toppers are the equivalent to junk food for humans. So while I expect the high-quality ingredients in my pets everyday food that they eat, when it comes to their treats I'm not picky about ingredients. With that said, however, I was very pleased to find out that this product only has THREE ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Broth, Salt. A-6523. As a pet parent this pelases me VERY much and makes me feel more comfortable and confident in feeding this to my cats along with their regular daily food.

 

Needless to say, this was a pleasant experience for the kitties. They thoroughly enjoyed their new treats and was eager to eat more every time they saw me touch the cans (they're little piglets!). These are definitely now on our "treats we must have" list and definitely recommend giving them a try!
