I have loved gel pens since they came out when I was in elementary school. One thing I`ve learned from trying a variety of brands of gel pens is that they are NOT all the same quality. I`ve had ones that hardly wrote and ones that skipped a lot. Then I`ve had good quality brands, including this one, where the pen writes smoothly and the ink flows well so there is little to no skipping when using. I personally enjoy using adult coloring books and found these pens worked amazingly well for that purpose. The colors are true to what you see in the ink.
