As I said in the beginning, I was super excited to get this for my husband to check out. Unfortunately, it definitely needs some improvements and I hope the flaws I point out help the company fixes it up for a better model in the future. 

 

Now before you start using it, make sure ALL battery tabs are removed. At first, we were only getting one color to come out but noticed there was another tab. Once that was removed it worked as it was supposed to.

 

First off, the concept of this stylus is awesome. Being able to change colors and pen tips for your drawings with a push of a button is a great idea compared to having to go in and select each manually. Downloading the app for the pen is easy, however, that's one big flaw... this pen is only good for the apps it comes with. So any other drawing app or notepad page on your phone/tablet will not work with this. If this could be more versatile I believe that would make for a major improvement right there. However, in the app, changing the colors and the pen style was a breeze. However, that brings me to another item. The stylus size. 

 

While this stylus is comfortable to hold in hand, the pen tip itself is rather large. So if you were looking to use this for detailed work, it won't happen. It needs a thinner tip or an option to change the tips for detailed work. So for a child, it would be ideal to let them play with it. However, for someone looking to use it for serious artwork, they may find it difficult.

 

As I said, there is a lot of great potential in this product and we're definitely waiting for an updated version to come out. It's easy to use, comfortable to hold and works great within the app. The two biggest things that we would love to see changed is making it able to work within any app and a better tip on the stylus. Remember, this is coming from someone who is looking to use it for more serious work. Otherwise, it is pretty neat. I let my 9-year-old daughter give it a try and she thought it was the coolest thing ever. 

 

So hopefully my review will help make this a better product because did I mention how useful this stylus really could be for a professional or even a serious art student?! Just something to consider.
