As everyone is familiar, we have a mini zoo in our home. A few years ago grandpa thought a bunny for Easter would be a great addition. Well, we love animals and didn't argue so that`s how Lucy came to be a part of our life a few years back. As time went on, she grew quicker than expected so the cage she was originally in is now her litter box and my husband made a large custom built enclosure for her to be able to move around in. She has an adorable personality, which we never expected since rabbits aren`t "talkers" like cats and dogs. They`re quiet so you have to watch their body language and behavior. It`s a learning process, but she`s definitely a wonderful family member to have. So now that you`ve been properly introduced, we can go on about the newest goodie for Lucy.
Treats for rabbits are limited compared to what`s on the market for cats and dogs and generally, you get a tiny pouch for a pretty expensive price. Well, $3-$5 (depending on the brand), but for the amount you get, it`s still rather expensive. I found that the Brown's Tropical Carnival Play Barn with Hay Small Animal Hideout was perfect for just $7.52 on Chewy. It's a decent size and Lucy went nuts (in a good way) when we introduced her to it! She hopped around with excitement and immediately started to nibble away on it. It's a pretty good size and it's actually packed with the hay. Of course, if your bunny is like mine it won't last but a few days because she is crazy about hay and will gobble it down. However, if you ask me, in my opinion, it is well worth the investment!
