Scooby was a lucky dog this month since she got to experience a new, delicious, wet canned food. Well, at least I believe it was delicious based off her excitement and how quickly she ate the can I put out for her! Scooby has become so spoiled, thanks to my children, because she eats the food the drop on the floor or when my 2-year-old gives away his food to her. She`s also in the habit of stealing food so she has to go in her crate when it`s human meal times to prevent the food stealing. One thing we`ve learned is she will avoid dry food now, unless it`s the cat food, and wants pretty much only wet food or table food. She will eat dry food as a last resort, but otherwise, it`s a no go. While this brand wasn`t as big of a hit as the cheap store brand cans I get her regularly, she still seemed to enjoy it.
One thing I didn`t care for is how hard it is to get out the can. If you use a spoon, no problem, but because it`s a pate, if you typically just beat the can a bit to get it out, like I do, it take a good minute or so get it to come out. Also, the pate sticks a bit. What I mean is, I like to empty it in a dish and sort of mush it a bit with the can so it`s not a big pate cylander. When doing that, though, the pate really sticks and seems to make more of a mess. It does the same thing when trying to mix it with the dry food. Of course, this isn`t all a huge deal, but thought it was note worthy. The main importance is that Scooby enjoys it and when I do mix it with her dry food, she actually will eat the dry food as well. Overall, though, we would certainly buy it from time to time for future treats once this case is gone.
