I got the stand to try out with my 15-inch laptop and found it was the PERFECT size for it, however, it can be used for larger laptops as well as smaller tablets if you so wish. I like that there was no assembly involved. I just literally took it out the box and that was it. The most work involved was taking my laptop out to place it on top. While it is sturdy and durable, it is also lightweight as well, which makes moving/carrying the laptop stand convenient. I found the stand helps give my laptop the "perfect" angle when I'm trying to work on it. I'm personally more of a desktop fan than laptops, but whenever I'm not feeling well or just overly sleepy, I do work from my bed on the laptop. The stand just helps me get a better typing angle and really helps me get more comfortable for working from my bed. Of course, it would also be useful for a better work position using it on a desk as well. Overall, it's a simple basic stand, but works extremely well for my needs.
