Biomechanical footwear infuses advanced technology & materials into classic shoe design to enhance your biomechanics. Over the past 2000 years, your life expectancy has increased from 35 to 85 years. The lifespan of your joints has essentially stayed the same.
I was sent the Flora style clogs to check out for myself and I must say, these shoes are AMAZING! The Flora is a laidback clog style with durable leather uppers. ABEO B.I.O.system footwear is designed to fit your specific arch type for increased stability, balanced weight distribution, reduced foot fatigue, and reduced shock and stress on joints. While these clogs do retail for $150, let me say, they are well worth it! Some quick details about this shoe:
- Durable leather upper and microsuede lining for breathable comfort.
- Shock absorbing EVA foam insole for all day cushioned comfort.
- Lightweight polyurethane midsole is flexible, resilient and absorbs shock.
- SureGrip® oil and water slip resistant outsole features an exclusive rubber compound, unique tread design, and meets the ASTM F 1677 slip resistance standards.
- Heel height: 1¾ inches with a ¾ inch platform
- Traditional clog fit with an open heel to move up and down freely.
As far as my observations go - I wasn`t sure what to expect. I`ve worn clogs before and most of the time they look nice, but are uncomfortable OR they are comfortable and look rather ugly. Surprisingly I was happy with both the appearance and the level of comfort these have to offer. The inside is a nice cushion feeling so I was able to wear these out and about without aching feet. The outside was a nice chocolate brown with a an embossed style design on it. So these are simple, yet not plain - if that makes any sense. While wearing them out to give them a full test run I received a few compliments on them as well! One thing I did notice is that these seem to run a slight bit larger, but not by much. I am a regular US size 6 in a shoe and these fit a bit loose on me. Of course wearing a thicker sock worked out and kept them from slipping around, but if you choose to try out these shoes I would recommend going down half a size or if you`re between sizes, go with the smaller size.
Needless to say I would definitely recommend heading over to ABEO and grabbing a pair of these, especially if you`re on your feet a lot! You won`t be disappointed!
