cigars that will come out at or after IPCPR, and excludes cigars that have not been tried by the author.

When asked about the article, the Cigar Advisor crew says: “We think it was important for us to at least have a mid-year review of the most unique or noteworthy cigars that have come out thus far. Many consumers and retailers pay special attention to cigars that come out around IPCPR in late June, but there are a lot of great releases throughout the first 6 months of the year that usually fall on deaf ears because they aren’t released at some big festival. It’s time to give these first half cigars some love.”
In the article is also a
warning of the damning FDA restrictions that were passed earlier this year, which will mark the end of many cigar brands, saying: “As a side note, and I know I said I would focus on the happy in this article instead of the FDA, it should be noted that all of these offerings may ultimately have a rather short shelf life due to pending regulations. I highly advise getting your hands on any new cigar that comes out, because once the regulations fall into place it may mark the end to all of these new lines and any new lines coming out of IPCPR for good. But before that happens, enjoy all the new cigars you can and stay smoky.”
