As most of you know we started a garden and growing our own fruits and vegetables and herbs. Well, we`re at least trying anyway - so far, so good!  Well some of these herbs I never heard of before - surprise surprise. Well I`m in to trying new things, especially knowing they`re good for you and what not. I`m particularly a fan of tea and had been wanting to try making my own herbal tea from scratch. Just give it a go and hope for the best. Well this nut milk bag came in a the perfect time for that!  

How Do You Clean the Nut Milk Bag?

 

 

You can do this in 3 easy steps.

 

1. Empty nut, veggie or fruit pulp into another bag or container.
2. Wash the bag completely under running warm water.
3. Hang to air dry. Thats it. For stubborn stains, soak the bag in GSE (grapefruit seed extract) and water.

 

 

What Can I Use the Nut Milk Bag For?

 

Nut and seed milk like almond milk or hemp Milk, Fruit Sauce like apple sauce, just blend and strain. Sprouting, soak sprouts then hang; rinse 2x a day. Juicing, blend vegetables and or greens and strain mixture through bag. Teas, add tea to bag and soak in hot water. Cheese, after blending, place the cheese mixture in the bag to ferment. Lots of great ways to use it!

 

 

 

Can I Add It To The Dishwasher?

 

Absolutely, just be sure it doesn`t get caught in the spinning metal pieces!

  The nut milk bag is about 5x8 in size and is quite large. It holds a rather decent amount of nuts, herbs, spices, etc. With the Zimtal bag, the mesh is fine enough that you are able to squeeze the pulp in the bag and get more liquid out. This is perfect for those who enjoy making their own teas or almond milk. Now I never actually used a nut bag prior to this experience so  I have nothing to compare it for this experience. I can tell you I find that the bag is high quality though. I also love that it`s dishwasher safe. As a busy mom I really don`t have the time to hand wash if it`s not necessary so tossing it in with the dishes makes things so convenient. I also love the ease of use of the nut bag. While I don`t have much to say about the bag, I do have to say it`s excellent for making your own drinks and is a new must have in our kitchen.
