So yesterday was my first trip using coupons with an overage at Walmart and let me tell you, it was a horrible experience! Now since it was going to be my first experience using any overage I shopped small and really wasn`t huge savings but still!
Degree Clinical Women`s Deodorant --trial Size --$0.97
NYC Lip Shine --$1.72
Tax: $0.24 Total: $0.93
TOTAL SAVINGS: $2
Ok, so now for my experience. When I got to the cashier she wouldn`t take the coupon. I told her it`s in the corporate policy that they DO accept them. So I requested for her manager. She didn`t even bring the manager to me, she went and talked to her manager. After 15 minutes of waiting she came back and still refused my coupon (it was for the deodorant which is for ANY women`s deodorant, this one did not exclude trial sizes as most do). So I told her I wanted to speak to her manager. Her manager was twice as rude and refused to really even talk to me just denied the coupon. I again stated it`s in corporates policy. So I went to Customer Service and requested a DIFFERENT manager.
FINALLY she looked at it and said that they DO accept those coupons. So after waiting a total of 45 minutes (yes, the wait was that long) I got checked out and the coupon rang with NO problem! So the cashier didn`t even try. Needless to say, I`m about to email a "lovely" email to Walmart about that cashier & manager. As for the lady who was kind enough to listen and resolve the problem I`ll make a good note on her. I know I don`t expect much from Walmart but geez! Was it really worth the trouble? No. But the point of it was they were in the wrong and I wanted to make my point. Plus it made me feel good to prove I was right and they were wrong lol.
