*** In an effort to move my DIY projects and get rid of my old web site "Scrappin A Moment" I will be copying posts over to this blog and when that domain expires I will be done with it and focus just on Closet of Free Samples. So please ignore the Scrappin A Moment watermark as that`s what my old blog was called.
Some of you may or may not know that I’m a huge animal lover. Here in Southern Louisiana we’re having some extreme temperatures – not extreme compared to other areas, but extreme because we never have cold weather like this. I mean we have roads and schools closed because of icey roads. We’re not prepared or equipped to deal with this weather like those of you in the North which is why it’s such a big deal for us. It would be like us sending a hurricane your way – we’re well prepared to handle those, but of course you never get them so you wouldn’t be quite prepared if that ever were to happen.
So anyway I wanted to do my part in the chance a homeless kitty (or small animal) were to be about to try and keep them warm. It’s not much and I hope they find a warm shelter, but as an alternative I made a little make shift hotel for them.
All I did was take an empty Tidy Cats container and used some puppy pads from the Dollar Tree that we’ve been having and never use and stuffed them in there on top of some newspaper. After the photos I found an old blanket and put that in there as well. Basically trying to provide some sort of warm spot for any animal who may be able to use it and placed some kitty food out there. My cats don’t like the Meow Mix brand but I noticed some neighborhood animal enjoys it. So there you have it.
