You don’t need to carry inventory. You will take your brochures around for a two-week period, and take orders. Then you will submit your order to Avon. Your wholesale price depends on the size of your order. You will pay Avon and the difference between what you collect from your customer and what you pay Avon is your earnings.
Avon also handles the sales tax reporting and collection for you, making it very easy to start your own business.

No Minimums or Quotas
Avon has no minimum order requirements or quotas you have to reach. Obviously, the more you sell, the more you will earn. But there is no requirement to place an order of any certain size that could require you to purchase something just to meet the minimum requirements.
Tip: If you ever find yourself without any customer orders to place, make sure you still place an order for brochures so you are ready for upcoming campaigns. If you call and order brochures only, Avon will waive the shipping charges for you.
You will have some expenses

Bags are the second most common item. You can purchase bags fairly inexpensively from Avon, or if you are looking for even more budget-friendly, you can get white bags from the dollar store.

If you feel you need business cards, you can save some expense by printing them out yourself on card stock.
Samples are an inexpensive tool that you can use to grow your Avon business. For new customers or those who have never purchased Avon before, this is a great way to show them the great quality products they will love at affordable prices.

You will definitely want to track your earnings and expenses. In order to stay on top of your budget, you need to track it. This will help you see where your money is being spent, and it can even show you opportunities where you can grow and earn more money.

Advertising is an important tool to grow your
Avon business. You want people to think of you when they are looking for Avon. But if you don’t advertise, how will they know to find you?
You can purchase advertising material through Avon, or you can use your creativity to get the word out there about your business.
Automated Emails – Avon offers you an address book for all your prospects and customers. If you add them to your address book with their email address, Avon will automatically send them an email that links to your eStore for promotional offers, when a new campaign has started, online exclusives and more. So make sure to get people’s email address when asking for their contact information. They will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe if they don’t want the emails.
Avon’s Social Media Center – Avon offers a Social Media Center with a variety of ready-made posts & videos you can share on your social media pages.
Facebook – Create a Business Facebook page just for your Avon business. Then you can post sales and information about new Avon products, updates on your business, create offers for customers, and more.
