Our focus today was for the long “a” sound and words with long “a” since Sophia seems to not always pay attention. So I wanted to make sure she could get the hang of it and really knew it.   Long “a” has sounds such as: date, way, bake, rail, and eight. The long “a” sound can be spelled “ay” or “ai” as well.     Here’s the worksheets we worked with today:
