Let’s first discuss what Apple Cider Vinegar is; it is a weak form acetic acid made from crushed apples that are combined with yeast and sugar that is fermented into alcohol then fermented once more into sour vinegar. Every bottle of ACV has a "mother". To recap on what that is, here’s a brief explanation: "Mother" refers to the cloudy substance found in organic apple cider vinegar formed by naturally occurring pectin.

Now that the basics are covered, you're probably wondering what its touted uses are. Well, this natural ingredient can: make clothes softer, be used to create a tasty dressing, be added into a cleaning solution, and much more.

Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Cleaner

When it comes to an itchy scalp, there's a chance product build up is to blame. If you're an avid hair spray user, gel lover, or dry shampoo enthusiast, you know this story all too well. Today, we welcome a natural way to bust the grime and get the shine back. 

DIY Apple Cider Vinegar

 

What You Need:

1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Cup Water 

10 Drops Essential Oil of Choice (For Scent -- we chose Peppermint Oil!)

Spray Bottle 

Apple Cider Vinegar

Peppermint Essential Oil

 

How To Make: 

+ Combine the water, ACV, and essential oils together in a clean, distilled cup. 

+ Using a funnel, transfer the mix to a spray bottle

+ Before showering, section your hair, and spray the scalp

+ Massage this mixture together 

+ Let sit for 5-10 minutes, then wash out with a sulfate-free shampoo!
