AMAZON PRIME DAY is coming up soon ~ It’s sort of like Amazon’s very own Black Friday – and just like Black Friday, this is a shopping event you’ll want to plan for so you don’t get overwhelmed.
So, are you wondering “when IS Amazon Prime Day?”
Well, the Amazon Prime Day start date has been *officially* released ~ Prime Day will be starting at 3pm EST on July 16th and will run for 36 hours (through the end of the day July 17!). Deals will be going live as often as every 5 minutes for 36 hours. CRAZY!
Here are 12 tips to help you score the best deals!
1 . Sign up for Amazon Prime.

2 . Get FREE Amazon Shopping Credit
Usually, leading up to Prime Day, Amazon will offer ways to score free Amazon credit (such as trying Amazon Video, ordering though Alexa, or adding Amazon Cash to your account!). We already have an offer for a free $10 credit when you download the Amazon App!

3 . Know exactly when IS Amazon Prime Day
It’s looking like Amazon Prime Day will likely start on July 16 this year. However special sales will likely start popping up several days before then! And on Prime Day, deals will be going live as often as every 5 minutes for 36 hours!
4. Alexa Voice Shoppers Get Early Deals
Did you know that using your voice to shop gets you extra early deals? Customers shopping with devices powered by Alexa (like the Echo or Echo Dot) can get access to select deals from 7pm – 9pm EST.
5 . BIG TV Deals
We’ve been hearing lots of buzz about Amazon Prime Day Deals – but the one thing we can definitely expect is a few HUGE deals on televisions. If you’ve been planning a big TV purchase – this might be a day to keep an eye out!
6 . Prep for Lightning Deals
- Go HERE and bookmark this page for Lightning Deals
- Click on “UPCOMING DEALS” in the middle of the page to see what times things are coming that you don’t want to miss.
- If there’s something you want, add it to your cart to save yourself one little step when the deal goes live!
8 . Use that Waitlist!
If a deal you wanted says 100% claimed, don’t despair – JOIN THE WAITLIST! There are so many times I’ve joined the waitlist and ended up getting the deal after a bunch of people backed out.
9 . Know About the Daily Deals

10 . Stick It On Your List
Even if you have NO IDEA what’s going to go on sale for Prime Day – go ahead and add items you’re wanting to “your list” and then when/if they go on sale, you’ll get a notification so you can hop on the deal!
