TO EN (North America) Inc. was founded in May 2001 with the mission of introducing ITO EN`s line of green tea products and establishing a culture and interest in authentic green tea in the United States and beyond. In order to accomplish these goals, the company developed a three-tier strategy, simultaneously entering the beverage wholesale, retail, and restaurant industries. In 2002, the Teas` Tea line of natural, unsweetened bottled tea was launched. The product line functions as the centerpiece of ITO EN (North America) Inc. for it upholds ITO EN`s principles of Natural, Safe, Healthy, Well-Designed, and Delicious. The product was first introduced through wholesale distribution in New York City and the Tri-State area. The breadth of ITO EN (North America) Inc. is increasing through the development of new beverage and loose leaf tea products, the expansion of its distribution network to a national level, and the growth of its ecommerce operations. With the attention of industry, the media, and the public, ITO EN (North America) Inc. is well on its way to making green tea a true part of the new American culture. ITO EN is a company, who cares about the environment and social responsibility. We recycle our used tea leaves from production and upcycle them to make park benches, uniforms, pens and more. We work with Whole Foods Non-profit Whole planet to alleviate poverty in the developing worlds, and much more. Link to more information here https://www.itoen.com/responsibilitySo what do I think? The unique attributes of South Africa`s Aspalathus Linearis plant were first discovered in the early 1900`s. Fine needle-like leaves yield a gently flavored, caffeine-free liquor, awakened with the aroma and taste of ginger and tangerine. Upon arrival of my product, the tea was carefully packaged not only for a careful shipment, but a nice presentment of the product as well. I personally love the packaging of the tea. Rather than a typical cardboard box filled with tea bags, this product came in a quality tin canister which screws open and closed. I love the fact of being able to use the can to hold my crafting supplies (or whatever you wish) after I finish with the tea. The tea itself is loose materials, as in not in tea bags. So you would mix it in with your tea and then use a small strainer to strain it out or you can do as I did: use the coffee pot. We have a small coffee pot which we use regularly for our teas and coffees and don`t have a strainer so figured it`d be easier to go about it that way, which of course only took a few minutes to make. Once the tea was done my husband brought it for me to try without adding any sugars or cream to it as I usually add to my nightly tea. Surprisingly I liked the flavor enough to not need any of that, although I didn`t try it with that either. The flavors are not very strong. It could be that it was still burning hot, but it was enough to taste without overpowering your mouth if that makes sense. The smell on the other hand was great! Can y`all make a candle that smells like this? Again, it`s not a very super strong smell, but just enough to make you crave the taste of the tea. I love those smells and hate them at the same time. They always smell so good, but always leaving me wanting the item until my craving has been satisfied! Would I recommend this product? Definitely! The product tastes great, smells great, ships quickly and is just unique to its own. I would love to try other flavors (all 8 flavors can be purchased: Golden Oolong, Sencha Green, Gyokuro, Darjeeling, Ceylon Breakfast, Genmai Green, Jasmine Green. 3-3.5 oz. Price range $12 - $45.00 https://www.itoen.com/prepacked-tins.html?p=1) and definitely recommend them to you.
