I love the American flag. Just something about it. We used to have one on our house when we first moved in, but as soon as some bad weather came through it destroyed it and the pole so ultimately we had to do away with it and our house has been flag-less ever since. That is, until Star Spangled Flags came into our lives. Here’s a little about them…

As far as some history on the American Flag (Thanks to the Star Spangled Flags website)
Who designed the American Flag?
Our current American Flag you see today was designed by Robert G. “Bob” Heft, and he also is the designer of a submitted 51-star flag proposal. He spent his childhood in Lancaster, Ohio, where he created the American flag as a school project. The original American Flag was designed by Francis Hopkinson of New Jersey, a naval flag designer, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The current design of the U.S. flag is its 27th; the design of the flag has been modified officially 26 times since 1777.
What does the American Flag Symbolize (stand for) and what do the designs mean?
The American Flag stands for liberty, justice, and humanity. The 50 stars represent the current 50 states and 13 stripes represent the original 13 British colonies. The stars are considered a symbol of the heavens and the divine goal to which man has aspired from time immemorial, and the stripes are symbolic of the rays of light emanating from the sun. The colors on our flag symbolize as follows: bluesymbolizes justice, freedom, vigilance and perseverance, red symbolizes hardiness and valor, and white symbolizes purity and innocence.
As I said, it’s been some time since we’ve had a flag on our house. I was excited about this because, well, I’ve been missing having our flag!
Star Spangled Flag had amazing customer service throughout the whole process and dealing with me as I had no bracket or pole left – remember, ours had broken off. Can’t you tell we had the cheapest thing we could find at the time?! So instead of just a flag, I needed the whole set up!
At the time of planning out the process, I wasn’t sure of the quality to expect. I just knew I was getting an American flag, a pole and bracket to put it up on my house. When it arrived, I immediately pulled it out and was impressed with the quality of the pole and the flag just from the feel of it. As soon as I snapped a couple quick pictures, I put my husband to work to install it. It only took him a few minutes to put everything together and install it to our house. It’s pretty self explanatory, but it does come with very easy to follow instructions in the event you need them for whatever reason.
For those wondering, I got the Nylon Embroidered 3×5 American Flag, which is currently on sale for just $29.99 (normally $42.99 on their site). Let me tell you, not only is it a great price, it is well worth it! For starters, it is 100% made in the U.S.A. – so it’s an authentic American flag; not some cheap Chinese over seas junk. I hate to say that, but generally that’s what you get with Chinese products these days. In fact, all of the flags at Star Spangled Flags are made using materials from the United States and every stitch stitched in the USA. They are treated to dry fast & resist sun & chemical deterioration so the colors stay strong against ultraviolet rays in the bright sunshine. They use a very strong nylon material, and have two rows of superior lock stitching on the stripes, and 4 rows of stitching on the fly end to prevent unraveling and fraying making it incredibly durable.
The flag is a nice size and has a genuine authentic quality feel. You know how you can just feel the difference between a good item and one that is junk? That’s what you can tell here. Just the touch of the flag feels like something I would have gotten from the military or White House or something special like that. Basically – it is absolutely not cheap or flimsy at all. The stitching is perfect, too – no loose threads.
Also, if you’re in need of equipment, I received the 6 foot Silver No Tangle Flag Pole with Silver Globe and the Aluminum Multi-Purpose Flag Pole Mount. These two pieces were essential for us to be able to mount the flag to our home. Both pieces are silver in color, although the lighting in my photo makes them look white. Both the pole and the mount have a durable quality and feel and had no issues being put together, securely, and hold up our flag. The best part is, the pole is rust-proof and is supposed to be safe through strong winds. Luckily we’re not having those strong wings now, but when we do (hopefully not any time soon) I will update on how well it works out!
Needless to say, I had a very positive experience with Star Spangles Flags. I received all high quality products and the flag really brings out our house. It looks absolutely amazing! I really have no doubt about the quality, but as with anything, only time will tell. If you’re considering a flag for your home or business, this place is definitely a wonderful place to buy from.
