Christmas will be here before you know it; have you started your Christmas shopping yet? On top of that, Sophia’s birthday is January 25th. Somewhere between Christmas and Sophia’s birthday we’re expecting Jace to be born so of course this year will be a busy year for us to say the least. I’ve already started our shopping for the holidays whenever I find great bargains. I mean I won’t know when I’m going to labor and while it’s likely it won’t be til the end of December, beginning of January, the fact of the matter is you never really know when it comes to babies. Well one of the things we added to Sophia’s Christmas stash are the Fairy Tale High Dolls. They have quite a few in their collection, but we went ahead with 3 of them to start off!
About Fairy Tale High
Enter the magical world of Fairy Tale High®, a place where magic happens and beloved fairy tale characters come together for the first time ever in a modern-day high school setting. Toting the latest accessories and sporting designer fashions and hip hairstyles, teenage Snow White, Rapunzel, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, Tinker Bell and Cinderella are brought to life as they might have been before they became fairy tale princesses. Fairy Tale High features a collection of beautifully designed fashion dolls, along with a series of webisodes and eBooks found for free at www.fairytalehigh.com, that showcase each character’s teenage story, revealing the qualities that will eventually make them princesses and the not-so-perfect flaws that trip them up along the way. As students in a performing arts high school, these hip and trendy teenage characters develop their talents and learn new ones as they study music, dance, art, and acting while dealing with romances, jealousies and personal challenges along the way. With guest appearances by classic heroines and villains like Victoria, the Wicked Witch of the West; Pinocchio, who cannot tell a truth; and many others, Fairy Tale High is for the princess-loving girl who is looking for one she can relate to.
We received 3 of the dolls from the collection and I have to say WE LOVE THEM. Yes, I said we, as in Sophia and I. She is 5 and is getting more into dolls, although she’s into a large variety of toys these days as well. These dolls are all fun and full of style. I love how all the dolls have fully articulated bodies which enable you to create stories by posing your dolls in a variety of ways. Also, I found that these dolls are high quality, unlike the cheap ones you find many times these days. I’m all for getting the most of my money and the best value for my dollar which is why I mention that. I notice toys just aren’t quite what they used to be when I was growing up, and I feel super old saying that, like my grandmother, but it’s the truth. Quality is hard to find now and I honestly feel like these were made with quality materials.
On another note, the appearance of these dolls are fun, colorful, and upbeat. They’re attractive looking and unique in appearance. Rather than your typical fairy tale dolls these dolls rock a different fashion style. They also have fashionable hair styles rather than the same old blonde, brown and black hair you typically see. Who wants to only have those options? Don’t get me wrong, I love the old fashioned Barbie dolls because that’s what I grew up with, but I also love to incorporate different toys rather than keeping it all the same. Growing up I didn’t have all these varieties, so seeing such a mix is exciting for me.
As for Sophia, she just loves getting awesome new toys. Of course keep in mind, she’s not the type who loves every toy either. She’s pretty clear on what she likes and what she doesn’t like. In fact, she can be rather picky at times to be honest. Well, it’s Sophia approved as well as mommy approved!
Needless to say we recommend these dolls all the way! In fact, don’t stop at just 3, get the whole collection! They’re fun, they’re nice quality, and they’ll stand out from all your other dolls!
These dolls are available nationwide at Toys R Us stores, select Wal-Mart stores and online retailers with a retail value of $17.99 each.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
