Although this is like many of the other scams in the past, I figured I'd pass it along to those who may be new to the internet and online scams. So here it goes:

I am Dr. Owen Gilbert Head of Accounting Audit Department of a Bank from One Cabot Square, London E14 4QJ here in England (Credit Suisse Bank). I am writing you about a business proposal that will be of an immense benefit to both of us. In my department, being the manager Greater London Regional Office, I discovered a Sum of £16.5 Million (Sixteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Pounds Sterling) in an account that Belongs to one of our foreign customers Late Business Mogul Mr. Moises Saba Masri Billionaire, a Jew from Mexico that was a victim of a helicopter crash early this year, killing him and family members. Saba was 46-years-old. Also in the chopper at the time of the crash was his wife, their son Avraham (Albert) and his daughter-in-law. The pilot was also dead.
The choice of contacting you is aroused from the geographical nature of where you live, particularly due to the sensitivity of the transaction and the confidentiality herein. Now our bank has been waiting for any of the relatives to come-up for the claim but nobody has done that. I personally have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives , I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin/Will Beneficiary to the deceased so that the proceeds of this account valued at £16.5 Million Pounds can be paid to you.
This will be disbursed or shared in these percentages, 60% to me and 40% to you. I have secured all necessary legal documents that can be used to back up this claim we are making. All i need is to fill in your names to the documents and legalize it in the court here to prove you as the legitimate beneficiary. All I require now is your honest Co-operation, Confidentiality and Trust to enable us see this transaction through. I guarantee you that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.

SO what makes this a scam?
Well let me ask you this.. Why on earth would someone from a different country be making a business proposal to someone they don't know? That's the first red flag. Second red flag, the senders email address is at hotmail, but if you look in the details at the top of the email, it shows that it was signed by ymail. Something else that makes it funny because ymail is part of Yahoo if I'm not mistaking. The third red flag is the email address this email is being sent to. That is NOT my email address nor do I know who owns it. Seem a bit funny to you? Now MOST of the time the next step after replying (which I didn't waste my time doing) would be saying you need to send them money of some sort or there's some sort of fee or something where money is involved.
What to do?
Well with Gmail I can report these emails as phishing emails as well as spam. I do this to let gmail know though they can take the appropriate action against these criminals. Whether much can or is done I don't really know but I still do it regardless just in case. You never know right? So how to report phishing with gmail is you can click on the top right where it says "REPLY" then a list drops down. Then select "REPORT PHISHING" and it takes it from there!
