I just received this email and wanted to pass it along. I believe it to be a scam. Click the image above to enlarge it. But I have not seen this before and will be reporting it to gmail. Basically it wants to verify the account. The first time I clicked the link my virus protector blocked the page and the second time it brought me to a log in page. Doesn't make sense to have to log in if I'm already logged in. So be aware!

I clicked it and it needed m,e to update my backup email address in case my password is lost. Ill double check. I was not asked to resign into gmail.
Gmail typically does not send out these emails which is why I would be concerned about it.
